Itinerary:

Day 1 Surabaya – Tumpak sewu

Arrival in Juanda Airport (expected arrival time in the morning)

We pick up at airport and transfer to tumpak sewu for 4hrs driving time

Check in at guesthouse: Tumpak Sewu Homestay.

Day 2 Tumpak Sewu – Bromo [B]

6 am is wake up time

6:30 am start trekking (Tumpak Sewu from top, Tumpak Sewu from bottom)

10 am finish trekking

11 am brunch

12 pm leave tumpak sewu, drive to Bromo, 4hrs driving time

5 pm estimate check in at guesthouse near Bromo. Nawasena Guesthouse.

Day 3 Bromo – Bondowoso [B]

2 AM wakeup time, drive to jeep meeting point

2:15 swith to jeep, depart to sunrise point

4:30 golden sunrise

6 AM back to jeep, continue to Bromo crater

7 AM at the bottom of Bromo crater, you will start hike up passed the Holy Temple

8:30 back to jeep proceed back to village, stop at photo spot widodaren / savana area

9:30 at the village, switch back to car. Breakfast

10 am back to guesthouse

12 pm leave bromo, drive to Bondowoso area (4hrs)

5 pm estimate check in time at Hotel.

Day 4 Bondowoso – Ijen – drop Surabaya [B. box]

12 am is wake up time, check out & depart to Ijen

2 am in Platuding meet guide, short briefing while have a cup of coffee

2:15 start hiking to reach crater, *blue flame viewing *subject to situation on the day: Blue flame can be spotted by the 500meters as the maximum distance allowed from the crater lake IF ONLY its flame is big enough as well as supportive
weather.

4:30 summit and sunrise

6:30 hike down

7:30 short rest

8:30 leave Ijen, back to Surabaya OR Continue to Bali

14:30 estimated arrive in Surabaya. OR 9:30 arrive in harbor + 1hour ferry crossing + 1hour time difference, 11:30 ferry arrive in Bali.

• 1.5hours to Lovina, cost at IDR 500K per car.

3. Sometimes an earlier start may required to avoid traffic & crowd, as well as to avoid being late to catch the main highlight of each places.

>> Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

1. Is it possible to pick up in Airport or train station? Yes. Please make sure the flight arrival is before 4:00 AM. If by train, 1hour before pick up time is fine.

2. Is it possible to drop off in Airport or train station? Yes, either Surabaya or Denpasar airport are possible. Please make sure the flight/train departure is 2hours later than 5:00 PM (17:00), flight leave around 19:00 should be fine. IF will take train to the west like Yogyakarta, we suggest in Ketapang train station.

3. So the luggage must be carried during tour? Yes. But you will leave it in the car while you’re doing the activity.

4. Is it allowed to fly drone? Currently the Bromo National Park policy is not allowing to fly drone on any point/ spot. While in Tumpak Sewu and Ijen are fine.

5. How about the availability? Tour available daily. Unless there is a closure by the local authority due to local’s event or any routine agenda with a prior notice.

6. Tour is not available on below starting dates either due to Mt. Ijen Cleaning routine agenda & Nyepi (Hindu’s Silence Day) in Bromo:

7. How about the accommodations? Accommodation is a guesthouse type or small hotel, private room with en suite bathroom.

8. Why does overnight in Bondowoso instead of close to Ijen? Driving duration to Bondowoso from Bromo is 4 hours, vs direct to Ijen (from Bromo) can take 6 hours. It’s just to split the 6 hours driving time instead of take long driving for one time, it is the way more convenience. However sometimes if we run out of availability in Bondowoso, we will alter the overnight location to Ijen.

9. How to book? (1) fill and submit the following registration form; (2) Deposit at IDR 800K plus 2% admin charge; (3) Booking Confirmation will be sent to your email address.

10. How about the rest of payment? Rest Payment during the tour day, can be by another link OR cash. Another card link is subject to 2% admin charge.

11. Is it possible to finish/drop off (back) in Surabaya or Malang? Yes. Additional cost will be applied: IDR100K per person.
